Over the last 30 years, Monroe Contractors Equipment has become synonymous with utility pole distribution. Through the years this service has grown with a large storage area at our Corporate Headquarters in Scottsville, NY. Working with several of the large Utility Companies, as well as local utility contractors, Manufacturers, and Suppliers of wood poles, throughout the Northeastern U.S. as well as the Province of Ontario Canada.

Poles ranging from 25’ to 120’ in length, come to us by truck and by rail. We unload and transport the poles to our storage facility for re-distribution as needed. Poles are stored on site according to EPA regulations. Shipment to the customer is performed by our skilled operators with specially designed transport trucks, each equipped with an onboard boom capable of self-loading and unloading at the customer location.

Monroe Contractors Equipment was instrumental in the restoration efforts of utility service in both the ice storms of 91 and 98, supplying up to 20 trucks and 600 poles per day over a 3-week period. We have been recognized for our excellence by both RG&E, NYSEG (Energy East) and Niagara Mohawk (National Grid) by letters of appreciation.
